Eliminate from daily use – blowdrying, hair brushes, straighteners, harsh chemical treatments and elastic bands. Blowdrying is fine for quick drying, but make sure to use a cold setting and appropriate hair care product (leave in conditioner etc.), use fingers instead of a hair brush, but if need be brush hair when wet and rinse with water after brushing to eliminate the chance of frizz.

Wash with cold water – cold water helps to make hair shinier, locks in moistures and reduces frizz – in essence, single handedly tackling the three major problems of curly hair.

Hair products – avoid excessive use of hair products. This means when using gel or mousse, rub your hands together to heat the product which will help distribute it evenly.
