Say hello to our PA stylist Meagan from Price Attack Castle Plaza, South Australia. Meagan has been a hairdresser for 17 years and is a Shear Talent Finalist. For those of you who don’t know, Shear Talent is our national colour and styling competition run for Price Attack Salons. (Meagan pictured right, with her Shear Talent Model.)
We took some time to ask Meagan a few questions about what it’s like to be a PA stylist.
What’s your favourite thing about being a PA stylist?
I love getting to see such a diverse range of clients come through our door every day. No day is ever the same here at PA Castle Plaza, we are so lucky to have so many lovely regulars, and get to work with so many amazing hair care brands.
If you weren’t a hairdresser what would you be doing?
I love my job, so I honestly don’t know!
Where is your passion colourist or stylist?
If I had to pick between the two, I would have to pick colourist. It’s great seeing what a difference a colour can make to a client. I still do really enjoy creating different styles too though.
What’s your favourite trend at the moment?
Curls, curls and more curls.
If you could take three things to a deserted island what would they be? Why?
- Matrix Total Result Moisture Me Rich Shampoo and Conditioner to keep my hair clean and hydrated.
- Matrix Stylelink Mess Maker Salt Infused Spray to make my hair look “done”, and;
- Matrix Stylelink Volume Fixer Hairspray to hold it in place.
What do you offer your customers over all other stylists?
My personalised advice tailored for each individual customer’s needs. I also offer clients free styling sessions so they can manage and style their hair at home.
What’s your number one hair tip?
Work with what you’ve got! Your hair routine will be so much easier if you don’t fight your natural hair.
What is the one thing you pass on to your customers?
Make the most of what you’ve got and keep it simple.
