“I’ve always wanted to become a hair dresser since I was a young girl.”
We took some time to ask Monique some questions about what life as a PA Stylist is like.
What’s your favourite thing about being a Price Attack Stylist?
It is the vast amount of different cliental, that keeps my work very interesting, no day is ever the same. Also working with a huge diverse range of products, helps me expand my knowledge within the hairdressing world.
If you weren’t a hairdresser what would you be doing now?
If I was not hairdressing now, I would love to work with animals and help them in any way I can. Hopefully, pursue the career of working in a vet clinic and helping others.
Where is your passion? Colourist or Stylist?
I would love to be known more as a colourist, as I love to experiment and create different colour formulas, creating an individual experience for my clients desires.
What your favourite trend at the moment?
Currently I love melting and blending colours for a soft balayage looks, this colour technique can be tailored to any specific clients wants and needs. Another trend for 2018 that inspires me and the way I style are combining different types of undone braids, as they create a soft and textured look.
If you could take three products to a deserted island what would they be? Why?
- AG Firewall, it’s been my favourite product choice for a long time. The finest mist makes it great straightening product for dry, unruly hair and gives and amazing sleek and glossy finish.
- Juuce Smooth Endz, it’s a great moisturiser and smoother in one, without being too heavy and oily.
- Wella SP Luxe Oil Reconstruct Elixir, I love as it helps keep any hair type smooth and soft after straightening. It is so good for breaking up curls and adding shine.
What do you offer your customers over all other stylists?
My clients love that I offer them a thorough consultation, I’m always honest and up front with my clients for prices and overall expectations for the outcome of their hair. This is why my clients love me and always comeback.
What is your number one tip?
To have regular trims and to use weekly treatments at home to nourish your hair to keep it healthy and soft.
What would be one thing you would pass on to your customers?
Caring for your hair at home with the right products will insure the prolonged life, health and colour of your hair. By using the recommended products my clients have been able to go home and achieve the style they are after.
