Waxy residue and heavy hair

"Omg THE worst shampoo I have ever used. Leaves a waxy residue no matter how much I rinse. I've persisted 3 washes and will be binning it. Google search says the product is known for this when used in hard water. Would have been great to know before I dropped $100 on the shampoo and conditioner."
