What is Clean Haircare

Clean haircare is the avoidance of harmful ingredients that have been associated with various health concerns. It is also often aligned with cruelty-free and plant based haircare, featuring naturally derived products for kinder and more sustainable haircare. Most of all, it's not about avoiding ingredients, it is about ensuring only the highest standard of ingredients enter the bottle.

Ingredients to Watch Out For

Sulphates are harsh detergents that can strip the hair of its natural oils, leading to dryness and irritation. They may also contribute to colour fading in dyed hair. 

Parabens cause drying and irritation to you scalp where healthy hair is born. Parabens cause your hair to feel rougher, and can cause your colour to fade. 

Silicones provide a temporary illusion of glossy hair, but they build up over time,  leading to dullness and decreased manageability. Particularly dangerous for curly girls.

Alcohol, such as denatured alcohol or isopropyl alcohol, are commonly found in hair products. While they help the hair product to dry quicker, it dries out the scalp and causes frizz and scalp irritation.
